Keith Betry
Senior Pastor
Pastor Keith Betry grew up in the Chicagoland area and was raised in a Christian home. During a Vacation Bible School at the age of 5, Keith saw that he was a sinner and needed the salvation that Christ provided on the cross. He received his education in Christian schools and enjoyed being a part of church. In college he started his studies in aviation, but after a summer of working at a Christian camp, he surrendered to preach. At college he met Tammy and they were married after they finished college in 1994. Keith and Tammy both worked in a Christian school in Wisconsin as well in a youth department of that same ministry for five years. During that time they had their daughter, Grace. In 2000 Pastor Keith came on staff as assistant pastor at Heritage and worked here for 14 years in both the school and the church, especially ministering to teens. From 2014 to 2019 Pastor Betry served as the pastor of Beth Eden Baptist Church in Fitchburg, MA. In 2019 Heritage called the Betrys to come back to minister where Keith is now the senior pastor. He is delighted to be back ministering among the believers of Heritage and being in the community. His hobbies are reading, playing games, sports, aviation, and history, especially military history.
Brian Steinbach
Assistant Pastor
Pastor Brian Steinbach had the privilege of growing up at Heritage and being raised in a Christian home. On Easter Sunday 1991, Brian recognized that he was a sinner and accepted the gift of salvation that Christ provided. In college he began studying mathematics education; however, after a summer of working at a Christian camp, he surrendered to the ministry. After they graduated from college, he and Stacy met and were married in 2011. Brian and Stacy both worked in Christian schools in the Chicagoland area, where they also worked in a youth department for six years. During that time their children, Anastasia, Elijah, and Gabriel, were born. After a year as the Pastor at Faith Bible Church in Winsted, CT, the Lord directed Brian back to Illinois. He is thrilled to be able to serve with those who ministered so much to him growing up. In his spare time, Brian is working on advanced education and enjoys spending time with his family and constructing Metal Earth models.
